Punjab has a vertebral role in economic growth of Pakistan. Punjab means business and it is striving for transformation of its economy from traditional sectors to innovative and technological based sectors. Punjab’s every city is an engine of growth. The province is aiming to become a manufacturing hub and a destination of choice for all business looking entities. The moot point of IC&ID strategy is to improve and ensure ease of doing business by providing an infrastructure of international standards in Punjab. Numerous projects aimed at up-skilling youth, mainstreaming women entrepreneurs, strategic capacity building, ease of doing business and encouraging growth of manufacturing by strategically locating industries in well-planned industrial zones based on extensive studies have been initiated. Projects focused on demand-oriented skills training have also been initiated and these will go a long way in boosting economy of the country. We all at IC&ID believe in prosperous Punjab and progressive Pakistan.
